In the aftermath of the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Helene, Western North Carolina, including Asheville, was severely impacted. The floodwaters destroyed homes, businesses, and lives, leaving our community in a state of recovery. I personally lost two key places where I sold my artwork—Marquee at Asheville and Vintage Almont. Many other art markets and local businesses have been forced to close, making it incredibly difficult to continue my sales. Additionally, I lost my teaching positions at the school and university, which has greatly affected my livelihood.
